The Wardens, also known as Mage-Killers, are Taltoua's version of FBI and National Guard. They can be identified by their badge of office and by their swords which are used to execute those found in violation of the Greater Laws in cases to hot or to big for normal Police to handle, and their white and black uniforms which hold on the standard iconography to identify them as a Warden. To impersonate a Warden is a crime punishable by Death.
Their responsibilities include protecting both Public Officials and dealing with Renegade Mages, Rampaging Werewolves, Blood-lust Vampires, and any other major supernatural threat that may prove to much for the standard Law-Enforcement to handle, though they specialize primarily in dealing with Mages, Occult, and Fiends. They also serve as Judge, Jury, and Executioner when in the field against violators of the Greater Laws. Many warlocks are killed resisting arrest, or apprehended after their crimes have earned them a death sentences. Hearing before a Senior Council of Judges are rare.

1. Wardens, without other honorific, are rank and file of the Wardens. They tend to be semi-autonomous when dealing with local situations with a squad based in each district. Their HQ is set in the Aranova District. It is not uncommon for wardens form one district to aid wardens in another.
2. District Commanders are the next highest rank. They oversee and advise the Warden squads in their district.
3. The Captain, is the leader of all Wardens and is station at the Aranova HQ and serves as a Judge on the Senior Council.

Swords
The Warden Swords, sometimes called Heavenfall Blade, or Blacksword of Justice, are sacred swords wielded by Wardens and tend to have a Darksteel/Black blade and are supernaturally sharp. The swords are attuned to a single wielder, and cannot be redistributed to another user.
While acting as a symbol of office they also act as a Foci, allowing the channeling of magic and psionic energy in the same way a wizards staff. They are attuned to a specific Warden, so they can't be used against him, and to strengthen their abilities. A power Warden wielding such a sword can infuse it with enough power to shear through very strong obstructions such as metal. A practitioner can also use his blade to unravel active spells. With an infusion of his will, a Warden can use his sword to disrupt warded materials, magical shields and defenses.
Each sword is blessed during its forging making it a sacred weapon against evil.
Each sword is also personalized by the one it's made for so they come in different variety and shapes.
Greater Laws
There are two sets of Laws, Lesser and Greater. With Police handling the Lesser Laws such as Petty Crime, Theft, Assault and so on which goes through a standard Judicial system.
While Greater Laws are handle by Wardens, violators of the Greater law are often considered to dangerous and beyond the means of standard police force.
